Monica Tarnawski, OD

Dr. Monica Tarnawski is a board-certified and residency trained optometrist. Born and raised in New Jersey, she attended Seton Hall University for her undergraduate studies and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then moved to Florida to continue her education at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, earning her second Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry Degree. Dr. Tarnawski graduated as a member of the NSU Optometry Honors Program and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She completed internships at the Miami VA and Aran Eye Associates. She also participated in a service trip through Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), providing optometric care in Quito, Ecuador. Dr. Tarnawski furthered her education by completing a residency in primary care optometry at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, with a focus on the treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Tarnawski is passionate about patient care, and is committed to providing personalized and comprehensive vision care to all of her patients. In her free time, she trains martial arts and enjoys spending time with her dog Gigi.
