2011 Toys for Tots and Giving the Gift of Sight Campaign

Cape Coral, November 2011— Cape Coral Eye Center is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for its annual Toys for Tots program. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season and distribute them to children in need. Cape Coral Eye Center, with the assistance of the local media, will reserve a portion of their advertising budget to promote the campaign, including sponsorship of 275,000 postcards to be distributed to every home in Lee County. They will also host drop boxes at all five of their offices. Last year, their efforts helped collect more than 40,000 toys.

To donate to the Toys for Tots program, leave a new, unwrapped toy with your letter carrier on Dec. 3, 2011 or drop it off at any Cape Coral Eye Center by Dec. 16. The Cape Coral Eye Center offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, as part of the Lee County Salvation Army Christmas Cheer Program, Cape Coral Eye Center is donating 100 free refractive eye exams and 100 pairs of glasses to qualified children 18 and under. Eye Exams will be provided on December 21st and 23rd, 2011, at the Bayshore office located at 5781 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, FL 33917 located on LeeTran bus route 90.
